AWeber Email Management
I have tried managing my subscriber lists in-house, out-house and all sorts and never really got a full grip of it. My list for the Left-Handers Club is 55,000 people and growing, which is great but gives a few problems of its own, including...
- Maintaining the list for unsubscribes and member changes
- Actually sending 55,000 email newsletters - using my own (fairly powrful) server it takes approximately 20 hours and completely clogs my systems while it is doing it.
- Removing fatal bounces and following up again with non-fatal bounces
- Getting the emails actually delivered to my members - although I think they have been sent, I was sure a lot were not arriving, even though I had established reverse DNS lookup, changed the MX records to match, got whitelisted with AOL etc.

All in all, I was spending a huge amount of time managing the technical list and mailing processes and not enough on marketing and customer service!
